The Accessibilities Committee shall be responsible for coordinating the flow of information and activities that pertain to carrying the message of recovery to alcoholics with accessibility inquiries to and from the Area, Districts, Groups, and individual A.A. members. The Accessibilities Committee shall be responsible for creating and maintaining the VAC Safety and Accessibilities Plan, Safety Card and Safety and Inclusivity Guidelines.

For A.A.s seeking to carry the message to alcoholics who experience barriers to accessing A.A.’s program of recovery, this workbook offers shared experience on working with Deaf, Hard-of-Hearing and Blind individuals; with Elder alcoholics; and in underserved or remote communities. Physical barriers and access issues are also discussed.
Remote Communities Committees use the Accessibilities Kit. The kit contains the workbook and a selection of pamphlets, guidelines and order forms associated with Remote Communities Committee work.
